Eat Like a Bird, Really?

Shortly after moving into our new home, we put out a bird feeder with black oil sunflower seeds.  Honey would fill it once a week, and then he needed to fill it twice a week, and this past week, he filled it three times.

Yesterday we purchased another LARGER feeder.  This morning both feeders were full when we went to town.  In the last three hours we have had non-stop flying piglets visiting the feeders.

It was wonderful sitting on the cold wet deck, trying to capture the chaos of our feeders.  Birds are chirping, swooping in from the back woods, grabbing a seed or two, and departing.

We thought it was the squirrels that were draining the feeders, even though we never saw them.

After yesterday, it is all birds. As the sun set, the feeders were empty. They will have to wait until Wednesday for the next fill!

Little piglets!
